Who am I ?

Hi!

My name is Anaïs, I am French and I live in the South of France. I am a qualified teacher of French as a Foreign Language and I have been teaching for 7 years to students from all over the world. I am also an examiner and corrector of the DELF-DALF and TCF exams.

Passionate about travel and foreign languages, I love living near the sea, meeting new people, and immersing myself in new cultures.

After working as a translator for a few years, I realized that something was missing from my professional development.

I had always been attracted to teaching, and then one day an opportunity arose to teach French in a language school to Spanish people in San Sebastian, Spain. It was a revelation for me and the beginning of a great adventure!

I have lived and worked in different countries such as England, Ireland, Spain, Australia, and the Philippines. Like you, I have learned to speak other languages, including English, Spanish (and a little Tagalog).

My favorite part of my job is being able to help my learners and see them enjoy communicating in French. I also enjoy the intercultural exchange that allows me to discover other cultures, a different vision of life, and to create links.

My students say that I am a patient, funny and encouraging teacher. Recently, I decided to create my online French school to offer you quality coaching and content to help you achieve your goals in French!

If you want to learn French in a relaxed, caring, and entertaining atmosphere, don’t hesitate to contact me!

How are the courses conducted?

Before your first class, you will have access to a personal space, in Google Drive, where I will make available the course material. If you don’t have a Gmail address, you will have to create one, it’s totally free. I use different resources and textbooks with audio, you will not have to buy them, they are included in the course offer.

The courses are held online via the Zoom videoconference platform.

The group and private lessons are divided into several stages:

  1. DISCOVERY: I introduce you to the topic using a triggering document (video, article, song, radio program, etc.)
  2. COMPREHENSION: I ask you questions to check your general understanding and then your detailed understanding.
  3. CONCEPTUALIZATION: I ask you to spot elements and then deduce the grammar rule inductively in order to understand by yourself how this rule works.
  4. PRACTICE: I give you some exercises to assimilate the concept at your own pace.
  5. ROLE-PLAYING: You will be able to use what you have learned during the course thanks to a situation close to what you could encounter in real life.

I’m here to guide you and help you progress with effective strategies and always a lot of good humor!

As far as the private lessons are concerned, I orient the themes according to your interests. If you wish to work with a specific textbook, just let me know.
